A structured approach to ISO 27001 certification
Application Review
We review your organization's application to understand the nature of your business, size, locations, and activities. This step allows us to clearly define the scope of certification — specifying which processes, departments, and sites will be covered under ISO/IEC 27001. A well-defined scope ensures that the certification accurately reflects your operations and that the audit plan is tailored to your organization's needs.
Stage 1: ISMS Design Review
The auditor reviews your ISMS documentation for compliance with ISO 27001 clauses 4–10, identifying any gaps or improvements needed before moving to Stage 2.
Stage 2: Certification Audit
The auditor evaluates your processes and controls against ISO 27001 and Annex A requirements, and once both stages are completed, your certification becomes valid for three years.
Surveillance Audits
Surveillance audits occur during the three-year certification period to ensure your ISMS and Annex A controls remain effective and that any previous nonconformities have been addressed.
Recertification Audit
In the final year, a recertification audit—similar to Stage 2—verifies continued compliance with ISO 27001. After completion, your certification is renewed for another three years.
